Answer: At 1st Wholesale CardSolutions, we work hard to ensure that our merchant partners have an equal opportunity to provide their customers with fast, secure, and easy payment options. We are proud to say that we are able to gain acceptance for 98-99% of our applicants.

Question: What types of credit/debit cards will I be able to accept? -Elmer, Bullhead City, AZ

Answer: You will be able to accept every major credit card available! This includes: Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, American Express®, JCB, PayPal®, and Diner’s Club. You will also be able to accept any debit card with a Visa® or MasterCard® logo, Fleet Cards like WEX and Voyager or WIC/EBT.

Funding FAQs

Question: How long does it take to receive money in my account once a purchase has been made? -Phuong, Henderson, NV

Answer: Our merchants receive their money in as little as 24 hours with Next Day Funding. With Next Day Funding, you will receive your funds in half the time of traditional processing timelines.

Question: Do I have to change my bank account to get my funds? -Esteban, Anaheim, CA

Answer: Nope! We transfer your funds to your existing checking account using ACH Debits and Credits. Nearly all banks have this capability.

Equipment FAQs

Question: What equipment is right for my business? -Trina, Portland, OR

Answer: Certain business types require different methods of accepting payment, and while some retailers may be perfectly content with a countertop terminal, businesses with technicians out in the field may require mobile payment capabilities. Regardless of your payment processing needs, 1st Wholesale has you covered with one of the most diverse line of product offerings, allowing for a plethora of payment options.

Question: How does 1st Wholesale ensure that all of my transactions are secure? -La’Queishea, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Answer: All 1st Wholesale products are compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). We utilize the most advanced security features available, such as Point-to-Pont Encryption (P2PE), EMV, and tokenization.

Question: What are EMV payments, and how do they affect me? -Shang, Beaverton, OR

Answer: EMV is a new pin and chip-based security standard for payment cards that has largely replaced U.S. magnetic stripe cards. Pin and chip cards, such as EMV, have long been used in the rest of the world, and have been credited with significantly driving down the occurrence of fraud in participating countries.

EMV cards have decreased fraud by as much as 70% since their implementation. EMV cards will only function with EMV-enabled terminals, and PCI compliance has dictated that since October 2015, merchants will be liable for any fraudulent actions if they choose not to adopt EMV for their payment card processing.

Question: What is PCI compliance? -N’dege, Seattle, WA

Answer: PCI or Payment Card Industry compliance is a set of security standards that are designed to ensure that all companies that accept credit card payments maintain a secure environment. This compliance standard has applied to all companies of any size that accept credit card payments since 2007.

Question: Can I use my existing terminal when switching processors? -Mike, Tualatin, OR

Answer: In most cases we are able to migrate your existing terminal over. Exceptions include proprietary equipment that is locked by a previous payment processor, or equipment that is obsolete and/or non-PCI compliant.

Question: Are financing options for payment hardware available? -Luke, Lincoln City, OR

Answer: 1st Wholesale does provide hassle-free leasing options for all equipment and hardware. However, most of our POS equipment is less than $200.00 and we strongly recommend purchasing over leasing under in the vast majority of circumstances.

Question: Is there a long-term contract? -Billie, Centralia, WA

Answer: No, nor is there any penalty for early cancellation. We want you to stay with us because we’re the right partner for your merchant payment needs. In the unlikely event you decide we’re not right for your business, we don’t believe you should be punished for it!

Question: Do I have to purchase equipment from 1st Wholesale? -Chris, Logandale, UT

Answer: No! If you already own compatible equipment or want to purchase through another source, programming is free. However, you will need to send the equipment to us for encryption at your expense. Non-compatible equipment includes equipment that has been locked by a previous payment processor, or equipment that is obsolete and/or non-compliant with current PCI-DSS standards.
